Choosing Nutrient Pack Sizes
Compare nutrient pack prices per litre, handling and storage needs without assuming the largest pack is cheapest.
The hidden cost of small bottles
Larger packs can reduce the number of containers used per litre. Actual packaging-weight and carbon savings require measurements of the specific bottles and jerrycans; no Nana Organics packaging life-cycle result is established here.
The economics
Compare the displayed MICRO prices per litre. GROW and BLOOM have the same single-bottle prices:
| Size | NaO Micro per litre | Saving vs 500 mL |
|---|---|---|
| 500 mL | R 420/L | — |
| 1 L | R 325/L | Approx. 23% |
| 5 L | R 174/L | Approx. 59% |
| 10 L | R 180/L | Approx. 57% |
The 5 L single bottle currently costs less per litre than the 10 L pack; larger is not automatically cheaper. All products remain not yet in stock.
Refill culture in SA
Contact Nana Organics to discuss bulk supply. Do not assume a refill service is available without written confirmation.
The trade-offs of bulk
Bulk isn't automatically the right answer:
- Storage. Keep containers sealed, cool and away from direct sunlight. Avoid contamination and choose a pack size suited to your expected use.
- Handling. Keep containers securely stored, out of reach of children and pets; use clean graduated measuring tools.
- Initial outlay. Buying three 5 L cans at once is a meaningful cash-flow hit even if the per-litre cost is lower.
Recommendation
Choose matching quantities of MICRO, GROW and BLOOM based on measured water volume, consumption and storage capacity, not plant count alone.
Choose using current prices, use rate and measured packaging weights. No packaging life-cycle assessment or lower-carbon guarantee is established for Nana Organics.
Size purchases to real consumption
At equal-volume dosing, plan MICRO, GROW and BLOOM together. Compare the actual pack cost and volume, including whether you can use and store the contents appropriately. A yearly-use example based on a fraction of a large container is not the same as the actual amount paid for whole packs.
Keep containers securely stored, tightly closed and protected from heat and sunlight. Prevent cross-contamination when measuring. A bulk format does not establish a refill programme or a verified shelf-life period; both need explicit confirmation. Larger packs are a purchasing option, not a release of the current stock restriction.
