Nana Organics ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and order details. When you pay online, your payment card data is collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Paystack — we never see or store your full card details on our servers.
2. Lawful basis
We process your personal information on the lawful bases of contract performance (to fulfil your order), legal obligation (tax and accounting records), legitimate interests (fraud prevention and service improvement) and, where required, your consent (marketing communications).
3. How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders.
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
- To send order confirmations, delivery updates and (with your consent) newsletters.
- To detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks and abuse of the service.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Sharing of information
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the business — Paystack (payment processing), courier and delivery partners, and email infrastructure providers. These parties are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access control, and secure cloud infrastructure. Payments are processed by Paystack; its current privacy and security information describes its handling of payment data.
6. Data retention
We retain order, invoice and payment records for at least 5 years to comply with South African tax and accounting law. Account, enquiry and marketing data is retained as required for its stated purpose, subject to applicable legal obligations and retention requirements. Deletion requests are reviewed against those obligations.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent, subject to applicable legal and retention obligations, by emailing hello@nanaorganics.org. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any newsletter. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
8. Cookies
The site uses browser storage for the shopping cart, sign-in and saved guest-order access. Essential cookies may be used by hosting, sign-in and payment services. Clearing browser storage removes local cart and guest-order links. You can manage cookies and storage in your browser settings; some site features may not work without them.
